Ending World Hunger At Zero Cost

Throughout the years I have personally known hunger. And I'm not talking about the everyday variety of "Hunger Pangs" that come upon us all in the course of most every given day. I'm talking about having no money, no prospects for making money, no one to turn to for help (or turning for help and being rejected), and no food to eat type hunger. Hunger with hopeless. There is no greater hunger than this.

When well meaning souls talk about ending world hunger, most have no real clue as to what they are actually talking about, let alone what it would take to accomplish such a feat. Throughout the world, even in places you might have never considered, people just like you and I do not have available to them anything like the food sources we daily take for granted. For us, food supplies in great quantity, quality and variety are available all around us. Most of us do not even have to travel any more than walking distance to our nearest, plentiful food source, where others need only drive a short distance to find all that they desire.

Over the years, I have been so very fortunate to have had some opportunity to travel around the world, and have lived amongst some of the poorest in our world. Poor, that is, by our standards.

Even the educated among the people in the Philippines suffer daily, and have for generations. I had traveled there at the bequest of a friend who is herself a nurse that has given much of her time and resources to help the people there. In point of fact, she has only just returned to the States, having lived there the past five years amongst the people she lives to help. I was introduced to a Filipino family on my visit. Her, her husband and children were so poor, they found it beneficial to live at the dump (the largest dump site in the world) --- Yes, you read correctly: An educated woman, a licensed Nurse and her family lived on a dump, because they could live there for free and could salvage things there to sell for scrap. This work they performed, so they could buy --- Food.

Point of fact is, there is enough food in the world right now to feed the world's population more than sufficiently. Just take a look inside of any of our nations Restaurant Dumpsters, on any given day of the week, and you'll be astonished at what we in America can afford to waste. While all around the world, people just like you and I, waste away for lack of food.

Why then are people doing without, even starving to death? The answers are both complicated, and simple.

(1) People are doing without adequate food and are starving to death due to the work of Demons throughout the earth, and of the selfish humans that are freely motivated by them.

(2) This condition exists in various forms because evil hearted people in ruling power want people to do without and take perverse pleasure in their starving to death.

(3) The majority of good people (who have plenty) are doing little, or nothing about any of this.

Here's an example of the Complex/Simply equation: India has been growing economically, and things are getting better for that country generally. However, in point of fact, the poor in India have been starving to death for generations because of their religion. They revere, if not worship cattle. God provided that nation with more than adequate food, but instead of eating it, demons have them convinced that it is an unholy act, to eat a cow.

Food relief agencies have for decades shipped and air-dropped supplies of food into regions. The ruling parties, and sometimes non-ruling guerilla forces, seize food shipments for themselves, and at times do so specifically because they want the people to starve to death. I recall one such effort where food shipments from our nation lay rotting in port because they could not procure the trucks needed to bring the food shipments to the people.

Though it may occur to you that routing evil governments through warfare would cure such situations, what of unrelenting acts of nature. Draught related famines have caused the death of many millions in my life time, and with the earth growing ever hotter, this will not end tomorrow of it's own accord.

Not unlike the problem, the remedy is both complicated and simple. I will wrap this up with a condensed version of the cure.

Pray to the God of all mercy that he will aggressively come to our aid. Give some of your money and your time --- perhaps even dedicate and sacrifice your life, to the cure.

Do what you can; then do more. Giving to charitable organizations may make you feel good inside, but many of these apply more of our money towards operations expenses then they give to the hungry. Join something; start your own something; be directly involved in the lives of the hungry. In this way, you may not end world hunger, but you will certainly no longer be number amongst the well-feed good people, who did little --- or nothing.

By the way --- Ending world hunger at zero cost to you, --- to me?

There is - no such thing.
